How it began

The father-son duo Anthony and Arik love horses and the outdoors. They also share a passion for teaching and sharing their knowledge of horses and horseback riding and saw a need for a horseback riding facility in the area. They started King David Stables over 36 years ago, and it has become a popular haven for locals and visitors to experience the thrill of horseback riding in the picturesque Judean Hills.

Location

King David Stables originally started in Nevei Ilan before moving to Yad HaShmona. Today, the stables are nestled in the charming moshav of Yad HaShmona, just outside Jerusalem, offering an authentic ranch experience. The ranch is easily accessible by car or bus from Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and is just off the main highway, providing a perfect escape into nature. After an exhilarating horseback ride, you can continue to Jerusalem, which is only a 30-minute drive, and discover the city’s rich history and vibrant culture. Alternatively, you can move on to Tel Aviv and soak up the sun on the gorgeous Tel Aviv beaches and promenades.
